We have a few garden work parties coming up this month.
We need a big team to help get everything done. Even if you can only
spare an hour or two, it would be great! And the teamwork and
camaraderie makes it fun!

Upcoming Garden Work Parties
1. Day 1: Saturday April 14—Ground Breaking & The Big Dig – Time:
ground breaking at 9am
(Work seriously starts at 9:30am, goes until excavation is complete)
a. Need:
• People—dress for mud, bring gloves
• shovels
• wheelbarrows
b. We’ll provide:
• donuts & coffee
• lunch
• Excavator (Bob Pierce)
• Tree
• Rocks
• Gravel
• Compost
c. Tasks:
• Dig out the 3 levels (excavator)
• Move excavated dirt to berm
• Plant tree
• place big rocks and logs
• start placing compost & gravel
2. Day 2: April 15—Moving Dirt – Time: start at 10am until we’re done
a. Need:
• People
• Shovels
• Wheelbarrows
b. We’ll provide:
• Compost
• Gravel
• Donuts & Coffee
• Lunch
c. Tasks:
• spread gravel
• spread compost
• finish building land bridge and setting rocks
• Rope it off
• Make sure it’s all the right levels
3. Day 3—Sunday April 22—Earth Day Planting Party! – Time: Start at 10am
a. Need:
• People
• shovels
• hand trowels
b. We’ll provide:
• Plants
• more compost
• more donuts, more coffee!
• Lunch
c. Tasks:
• Plant, plant, plant
• Spread any remaining compost
• Water (if it’s not raining on us)
